Photography Monday: Things People Do After a Storm

We skip the photography-related geekery for this week to make way for this short photo essay I’ve compiled just after the typhoon Falcon. I originally set out to take photos of the Marikina river and some flooded parts of the city. But what I ended up with a set of photos of the things people did after the typhoon. Life and death. The circle of life. These things haven’t been more apparent than when we visited the Mambukal Resort in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

One of the resort’s attractions was the Butterfly Garden, where you could see, well, butterflies. I’ve been to a similar one that is closer to home at the Butterfly Farm in Marikina. However, the trip to Mambukal helped me see butterflies in a new light.
