    Very informative. I have a new Sony a500 and have been stupidly playing with the settings for the last two months. The pictures are fine I guess, but now I’m looking forward to seeing what I can get in Manual mode.

    Got a new camera for christmas, i wondered what that row of numbers was, now i know, it’s a light meter! never had a camera where i have had to alter any settings before, always just had to point and click so aperture, shutter speed and iso are all new to me so thanks for your help.
