Fireworks

So 2010′s ended just like that. Sometimes time goes by so quickly that we’re left with little time to examine everything that happened in the past.

Fellow Travelers

With Pinoy Travel Bloggers
With some of the Pinoy Travel Bloggers.

While I won’t spill my guts here, let me just say that it’s good to be travelling again. I’ve finally been able to travel to places that I haven’t been to before such as Iloilo and Bacolod, and returned to some of my favorite places like Baguio and Cebu.

Plus, it’s also great to meet new people along the road like Erick, Estan, Joel, Bernie, Nina, Chyng, Gael, James, Melo, Marky, the Sole Sisters, Ivan H., Ivan D., , Claire R., Claire A., Angel, Josiah, Cai, Fung, and the others. Pardon me if I’ve forgotten your name. I’ve got a pretty bad memory.

Christmas in the Philippines

Christmas 2010

“Hindi ko na kailangan / Umalis na sa ‘king harapaaaaaaaaaaaan…”

For a moment, I thought I slept in the middle of a videoke singing competition. It’s early in the morning and our neighbors are already belting out the Philippines’ guilty pleasure: Luha by the band called Aegis.

Welcome to the Christmas in the Philippines.

Posted by Cedric A. Solidon On December - 24 - 2010

Have you ever wondered where Santa Claus gets his elves? I wondered about the same thing too. That is, until I saw this sign…

For Hire Elf

Heheh. So much for my lousy humor. Have a merry Christmas everyone! :)

Bacolod 2010-001.JPG

After our trip to Iloilo, we then headed to Bacolod City. While this is already my second time to set my foot on Negros Island (check out this related post on the 4 things I wish I knew before going to Dumaguete), the trip to Bacolod was my first time to visit the region of Negros Occidental.

Check out this blog in the coming days as I chronicle my trip to Bacolod. I’ll also be posting the links here as I go.

Thanks and til next!

Thoughts Behind the Movie:

Life and death. The circle of life. These things haven’t been more apparent than when we visited the Mambukal Resort in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

Butterfly Garden004.JPG

One of the resort’s attractions was the Butterfly Garden, where you could see, well, butterflies. I’ve been to a similar one that is closer to home at the Butterfly Farm in Marikina. However, the trip to Mambukal helped me see butterflies in a new light.
