Picture, picture! Some of the people who had their photos taken at the Mines View Park.
The place we stayed in was just a few hundred meters from the Mines View Park so we decided to check out the place for some ‘pasalubong’ (presents and whatnot) to take home to Manila.

Stores near the Mines View Park.
But instead of checking out the usual fare of peanut brittle and other sweets, a red Chevy Impala (I reckon an early 60′s model) immediately grabbed my attention.

Sweet Ride. A red Chevy Impala at the Mines View Park, Baguio City.
It’s a car I’ve only read about in books and seen on TV, so you could imagine my joy when I finally saw it in the flesh, erm, metal. I never had the chance to see the owner as it was only parked there, but I immediately took out my camera to take a few shots just in case it wasn’t there anymore the next day.

Sign of the times. Chevy Impala.
From the Impala, I mean the stores, we proceeded to the park itself. The place was packed with tourists despite it being the off-season. There’s the usual places where you can have your picture taken while riding a horse, another one with a St. Bernard (there are already three of them there), and of course, have your photo while at the edge of the cliff at the park.

Tourist haven. Wait, is that My Little Pony there?

Um, where’s the exit? A row of stores at the Mines View Park.
Good thing I brought with my a lot of memory cards so I wasn’t really worried about taking too many photos. But just in case I ran short of memory, I knew I could always depend on this store:

Then it was time to move somewhere else. Next stop: the Bencab Museum. Watch out for it this Friday!
For now, strike a pose for another tourist photo!
